'Pictures From Winter'
The second series of paintings are reworked from my previous series 'Pictures From' which captured a trip down south in a hazy WA summer. They have been reworked after spending time down south in winter, the darker and moodier hues interacting with marks from the paintings underneath. The WA winter can at points be quite harsh and the skies can be heavy. The land turns from scorched earth to lush green, the ocean from shimmering, clear aquamarine to a deep, endless blue.
