Alison Bell is a Scottish figurative and portrait sculptor.

Her recent work captures memories of the freedom of childhood - the energy and spontaneity, the days of living and playing in your own imagination and the physical joy of it all.

Alison Bell is a Scottish figurative and portrait sculptor. She was educated at The Glasgow School of Art and The University of Glasgow, and is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, and to Council as a trustee in 2001-2004.

"My work is essentially figurative and rooted in my early practice as a portrait sculptor. While the truth of the figure is important to me, my aim is to evoke the moment - the energy, the glee, our curiosity, the tenderness in our hearts."

"I work freely & quickly in wax, observing & remembering, and then refine each piece before casting in bronze."
