Biography
My process begins with openness, a temporarily uncluttered mind, receptive to influence. A simple moment can spark the start: the slow movement of a curtain in a breeze, a passing shadow, a sound...

I'm from Essex, by the estuary of the River Thames, the gateway to London. I'm drawn to water, and the mud. The pull of the tide, the exposed flats, the quiet churn beneath stillness, these rhythms shape how I think and how I work.

My process begins with openness, a temporarily uncluttered mind, receptive to influence. A simple moment can spark the start: the slow movement of a curtain in a breeze, a passing shadow, a sound. From there, form begins to emerge. Marks are made, ideas take shape, and what was once intangible becomes real.

I follow where the work leads, experimenting with colour, repetition, and new ways of mark-making. The process is fluid, constantly shifting. I resist fixed outcomes. By staying open, I avoid the paralysis of conscious doubt. I let the work evolve on its own terms-questioning only after the fact, once the movement has passed.

Development comes through motion. The work stays alive by staying in flux.
